Lady Gaga - Starstruck
And the best use of an established DJ production for a UK bonus track goes to...
Groove slam work it back
Filter that baby bump that track
Rollin up to the club on the weekends
Stylin’ out to the beat that you’re freakin'
Fantasize on the track that you’re tweakin'
BLOW
MY
HEART
UP
Put your hands on my waist, pull the fader
Run it back with original flavour
Cue me up on the twelve on the table
I’m so starstruck
Starstruck,
baby could you blow my heart up?
Baby now that we’re alone, got a request
Would you make me number one on your playlist?
Got your dirty headphones with the left side on
Wanna smack it back and forth back and forth
Put your hands on my waist, pull the fader
Run it back with original flavour
Put the brake down first
the chorus to the verse
REVERSE
My 21st
But I'm using this as a marker for how I'm going to deal with things from now on. Observe:
1. Constantly ask yourself 'WHY DO YOU CARE SO MUCH?'
The overriding answer will probably be 'no one else does, it's just you.'
2. Keep yourself happy.
If you are happy, and the people that are important to you are happy with you, life is good.
3. Don't hold back.
Don't waste your own time thinking in unthinkable circles. Let someone else do it.

It Don't Stop
Let me tell you about a boy
He's going la-la
Try'na get my ya-ya
But he's not commited, so I'ma tell him baby bye-bye
Treat me like a yo-yo
Papa that's a no-no
If we're not official I'm so much better off solo
Boys are going crazy on a day to day basis
I just click and erase,
They pullin' all sorts of trickery
try'na get in my knickers
This shit is getting ridiculous
If a boy's not meticulous
He won't pass my test
Now put me on your speed dial and erase the rest
If you don't...
We should
just be
friends.

Christina Aguilera Greatest Hits Promo Photos
It's a shame she is wasting these looks on a Greatest Hits.
Barbarella is the new crotchless leather chaps.
Damien Rice & Lisa Hannigan - 9 Crimes
This is one of those times where you realise how amazing something is, and kick yourself for forgetting.
I LOVE THIS SONG.
Leave me out with the waste
This is not what I do
It's the wrong kind of place
To be thinking of you
It's the wrong time
For somebody new
It's a small crime
And I've got no excuse
Is that alright?
Give my gun away when it's loaded
Is that alright?
If you don't shoot it how am I supposed to hold it
Is that alright?
Give my gun away when it's loaded
Is that alright, yeah, with you?
Leave me out with the waste
This is not what I do
It's the wrong kind of place
To be cheating on you
It's the wrong time
she's pulling me through
It's a small crime
And I've got no excuse
Is that alright?
Give my gun away when it's loaded
Is that alright?
If you don't shoot it how am I supposed to hold it?
Is that alright?
Give my gun away when it's loaded
Is that alright
Is that alright with you?
No...

Catfights and Spotlights
It's alright.
Not much of a progression. And definitely not as instant as 'Change'.
Pretty ballad-heavy too...
But some really good standout songs here.
Namely the ones where I become more and more in love with chavvy chocolate-voice Amelle.
Love ya.
Sunday Rain
Very... film noir?
Sugababes drama at it's best, but with the 60's tint that seems to be trickling through the album.
Bit of a weak chorus, the verses are definitely where this shines.
They say love's a many splendoured thing
We've made a mess of everything
It's left me wondering
If it's just a picture postcard
Made to teach you
Some place that you're never gonna go
You're never gonna know
You give all your heart and got nothing to show
Beware
A shining example of the running theme in this album.
Sugababes do a Bond theme, if you like.
And it DEFINITELY works.
Dark, brooding, and a fantastic show of how far they have vocally come.
Growing darkness
Go break your bread with sinners
And come winter
Go on and tread the thin ice.
Every Heart Broken
Lyrically... a bit of a joke.
And probably the third single, by the looks of it.
If so, could be accompanied by an awesome video.
Again, Amelle steals the show.
S'alright.
Boy seven was the don of all Sicilly
Try and kiss and tell a man so naughty
Now he sleeps with the fishes
Arrivederche, baby
Last boy was a director of the silver screen
He went and wrote a slasher flick just for me
When he said cut
I took it literally

Emiliana Torrini - Gun
Fucking gorgeous album.
One of the darker tracks... We love the dark.
Music from Iceland is awesome.
Every day I see you looking in
I'll be the smoothest thing to touch your skin
You're longing to be loved but you're alone
Your longing makes you shiver to the bone
Your mama told you nothing of importance
No, your daddy told you nothing you could learn
You had your sister's weighing on your pockets
And your priest he tried so hard to get you turned
Maybe you've been living lonely
While your woman has a fellow on the side
Your kids keep telling jokes that ain't that funny
And you've failed in everything that comes to mind
Now you see I'm only here to let you know
that I love you and I'll never let you go
So take me in the hand and walk on by
For the life this has to offer twists inside
Now your woman has a fellow in your bed
You have to go, you have to move right in
And the ring on your finger would leave another scar
But the joke's on her, she hasn't seen it all
So you shot him up close, and you shot him in the face
And your woman looked on and your children they embraced
And the candle's still burning and the fire's roaring fire
You move right in, yeah you moved right in
Stop your shaking, sweating, whining and regretting
You're making a scene that's gonna get you caught
Look in the barrel and tell me that you love me
Yes, the nicest kiss that I swear will blow your mind

Kings of Leon - Manhattan
From 'Only By The Night.'
Awesome album.
Echoey guitars are my favourite.
Well
I could dance all night
And some of the day
That's how I play
I say who are you
No matter who you are
So you dance all night
And you dance all day
I say
Gonna build a fire
Gonna smoke it up
Gonna sip this wine
And pass the cup
These avenues and
These reseviors
We gonna show this town
How to kiss these stars
I say
You've come to kill
Gonna spend it high
Your parents grieve
I know they are right
And then talking to you
Well they calm you down
So it's all for you
Who let you down
Just wanna take you hand
I'm gonna drive you home
Just gonna keep on
Keep on, keep on
And you gonna have a rest

Keane - Spiralling
The Sugababes live lounge version of this is also very good.
Are they ACTUALLY having a good time?!
Whatever, this is a VERY good return for the boys, and a very good progression.
And when you get covered by a bitchy girlband, you KNOW you've made it good.
I'm waiting
For my moment to come
I'm waiting
For the movie to begin
I'm waiting
For a revelation
I'm waiting for someone
To count me in
Because now
I only see my dreams
In everything I touch
Feel their cold hands on
Everything that I love
Cold like some
Magnificant skyline
Out of my reach
But always
In my eyeline now
We're tumbling down
We're spiralling
Tied up to the ground
We're spiralling
I fashioned you
From jewels and stone
I made you
In the image of myself
I gave you
Everything you wanted
So you would never know
Anything else
But everytime
I reach for you
You slip
Through my fingers
Into cold sunlight
Laughing at the things
That I had planned
The map of my world gets
Smaller as I sit here
Pulling at the loose
Threads now
We're tumbling down
We're spiralling
Tied up to the ground
We're spiralling
When we fall in love
We're just falling
In love with ourselves
We're spiralling
Did you wanna be a winner?
Did you wanna be an icon?
Did you wanna be famous?
Did you wanna be the president?
Did you wanna start a war?
Did you wanna have a family?
Did you wanna be in love?
Did you wanna be in love?
I never saw the light
I waited up all night
But I never saw the light

Howling Bells - In The Woods
Now obviously I'm looking forward to the new stuff.
Sounds like there is a definite progression...
But this album truly was so amazing it will be incredibly hard to top, and hopefully harder to forget.
With the lights low
I'm falling through the air
No escape from this place
I just need to cry
One more time, coz tears won't hold forever
With the noise gone
I'm chasing lullabies
Always fading
I watch, and it's no surprise
Time is still, and my heart won't hold forever
Still can't see
Even when the lights are high
That's my mind chasing time
To stay alive
These eyes have opened for the first time
And I
I can't run away
From myself
Like yesterday
And I
I'll change my ways
Someday
Someday Soon
All the lights stopped flashing red
This time I can run to the noise instead
These eyes have opened for the first time
And I
I can't run away
From myself
Like yesterday
And I
I'll change my ways
Someday...
Someday soon
Heavy Rain
This looks really good.
Promises an "incredibly ambitious open-ended story premise, which promises to keep going even if your main character dies."
What it is about is as of yet still a mystery, but it looks very similar to the incredibly delayed Alan Wake.
Priority to keep development rolling should be a lot greater though, as Sony UK boss David Reeves even called it Sony's "most important" PS3 title of 2009.

Jason Mraz - A Beautiful Mess
You're the kind of girl who can take down a man,
And lift him back up again
You are strong but you're needy,
Humble but you're greedy
And based on your body language,
And shouted cursive I've been reading
Your style is quite selective,
Though your mind is rather reckless
Well I guess it just suggests
That this is just what happiness is
And what a beautiful mess this is
It's like picking up trash in dresses
Well it kind of hurts when the kind of words you write
Kind of turn themselves into knives
And don't mind my nerve you could call it fiction
But I like being submerged in your contradictions dear
'Cause here we are, here we are
Although you were biased I love your advice
Your comebacks they're quick
And probably have to do with your insecurities
There's no shame in being crazy,
Depending on how you take these
Words I'm paraphrasing this relationship we're staging
And what a beautiful mess this is
It's like picking up trash in dresses
Well it kind of hurts when the kind of words you say
Kind of turn themselves into blades
And kind and courteous is a life I've heard
But it's nice to say that we played in the dirt oh dear
Cause here we are, Here we are
Here we are
We're still here
What a beautiful mess this is
It's like taking a guess when the only answer is yes
Through timeless words, and priceless pictures
We'll fly like birds, out of this earth
And times they turn, and hearts disfigure
But that's no concern when we're wounded together
And we tore our dresses, and stained our shirts
But it's nice today, oh the wait was so worth it.

Sticky End
Pardon the bad pun.
Gemma Arterton's character meets her demise in the new bond film 'Quantum of Solice'.
Not usually a fan of the over-hyped, over-stimulated, over-dramatics that make up James Bond films, but apparently it's being taken in a 'new direction' with the 2 most recent additions.
Needless to say, this shot is almost a direct copy of the 'Goldfinger' death, where a woman is turned to gold. New direction apparently ran out of steam then...
Whatever, this one looks loads more dramatic.
APPROVED.

James Morrison & Nelly Furtado - Broken Strings
='(
Let me hold you
For the last time
It’s the last chance to feel again
But you broke me
Now I can’t feel anything
When I love you
It’s so untrue
I can’t even convince myself
When I’m speaking
It’s the voice of someone else
It tears me up
I tried to hold but it hurts too much
I tried to forgive but it’s not enough
To make it all okay
You can’t play our broken strings
You can’t feel anything
That your heart don’t want to feel
I can’t tell you something that ain’t real
The truth hurts
And lies worse
I can’t like it anymore
And I love you a little less than before
What are we doing?
We are turning into dust
Playing house in the ruins of us
Running back through the fire
When there’s nothing left to say
It’s like chasing the very last train
When it’s too late
But we’re running through the fire
When there’s nothing left to say
It’s like chasing the very last train
When we both know it’s too late
